School governors have a challenging but hugely rewarding role that offers the opportunity to make a positive difference to pupils in The Park Federation. Governors work as a team and hold the academy account for performance and development. They do this by looking at information and evidence, holding discussions with school leaders, asking questions and carrying out school visits. 

There are no specific qualifications or requirements for the role. Governing bodies need governors with a wide range of skills, experiences and backgrounds. You do not need to have an educational background to become a governor.
